Many of our core team members have been part of Hapuku for years, such as our General Manager Emile, who started in 2008, and our Lodge Host Mike, who joined in 2009, a true testament to the culture here. Head Chef Fernando, who has led the kitchen since 2015, works alongside a fine-dining team known for creativity, care, and collaboration. Fernando’s close relationships with local suppliers help ensure every meal reflects the region’s best ingredients and seasonal flavours.
This is a hosted lodge, where every interaction, from housekeeping to groundskeeping to service, is guided by people who love what they do and where they live. Guests often arrive as visitors and leave as friends, connected not just to the place, but to the people who make it come alive.
