WEDDING COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Each supplier and their specific terms and conditions are as below.
By entering the competition you accept these terms and conditions.
Hapuku Lodge + Tree Houses - Terms and Conditions
The prize includes an elopement-style wedding with Hapuku Lodge only providing the ceremony venue and accommodation for the Bride and Groom with the following inclusions:
One Bedroom Tree House for wedding night
Bottle of Esses Sparkling Wine
Early Check-In / Late Check-Out (subject to availability)
3 Course Dinner & a la carte breakfast for Bride & Groom
Access to all on-site facilities
Choice of ceremony location across property
Valid between 30th April 2025 – 1st November 2025 subject to availability. Not transferable. Final confirmation of dates required by 1st April 2025. Winner consents to all imagery and/or video content being used for marketing purposes without compensation. Winner is responsible for all travel costs to our location and any necessary visa applications.
Optional Extra: Bridal Party (up to 12 guests) offered rooms at 50% discount with numbers confirmed by 1st April 2025 and subject to availability.
Florist - Terms and Conditions
The Prize includes arrangements for the wedding day, including one bridal bouquet, one groom's boutonniè and ceremony florals chosen and styled by the florist.
The floral arrangements will be designed according to the winner’s chosen colour palette, subject to seasonal flower availability and florist approval eg no white and red florals mixed together.
Delivery and setup are restricted to the agreed-upon wedding venue and date.
Additional arrangements (e.g., table centrepieces or ceremony arches) are not included in the giveaway but can be purchased separately.
Date Availability:
The prize is subject to availability on the requested wedding date.
Peak wedding season dates are excluded unless the chosen date is free and can align with other collaborating suppliers.
The winner must confirm their wedding date within 14 days of being notified to secure the booking.
Collaboration with Suppliers:
This giveaway is a collaborative effort with other wedding suppliers.
Floral services will only be provided on a date and time that aligns with the availability of all participating suppliers.
The winner agrees to accommodate the schedules of all suppliers involved.
Deliverables:
All floral arrangements will be delivered to the agreed-upon location on the wedding day.
Setup assistance is included for bouquets, boutonnières, and other provided arrangements.
The winner is responsible for ensuring all arrangements are handled appropriately after delivery to maintain freshness.
Usage Rights:

Videography (Andrew Spencer) - Terms and Conditions
Service Provided:
The prize includes 2-3 hours of wedding videography on the wedding day.
A finished highlight reel of up to 10 minutes will be delivered, showcasing key moments from the event.
Coverage Limitations:
Videography coverage is limited to the agreed-upon 2-3 hours.
Coverage is restricted to the specified time frame and agreed-upon locations.
Date Availability:
The prize is subject to availability on the requested wedding date.
Peak wedding season dates are excluded unless the chosen date is free and can be coordinated with other collaborating suppliers.
The winner must confirm their wedding date within 14 days of being notified to secure the booking.
Collaboration with Suppliers:
This giveaway is a collaborative effort with other wedding suppliers.
The videography services will only be provided on a date and time that aligns with the availability of all participating suppliers.
The winner agrees to accommodate the schedules of all suppliers involved.
Deliverables:
The final highlight reel will be delivered in digital format within 4-6 weeks after the wedding date.
Raw footage is not included as part of the giveaway.
Usage Rights:
The videographer retains copyright ownership of all footage.
The couple is granted a personal-use license to share and enjoy the highlight reel.
The videographer reserves the right to use the footage for promotional purposes, including on social media and portfolio websites.
Winner Responsibilities:
The winner agrees to provide clear communication and timelines for the wedding day schedule.
A designated contact person must be available on the wedding day to assist with logistics if needed.
Non-Transferable:
The giveaway prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other services.
Force Majeure:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, natural disasters, or travel restrictions), the videographer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services.
Agreement Acknowledgment:
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
A formal contract may be required to finalise details and secure the booking.
Photography (Ellen Cayford) - Terms and Conditions
The Prize includes 2 hours of photography on the wedding day
This giveaway is a collaboration with other wedding suppliers.
The photography services will only be provided on a date and time that aligns with the availability of all participating suppliers.
The winner agrees to accommodate the schedules of all suppliers involved.
The prize is subject to availability
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash
Photos will be edited to the Kaikoura Photographers editing style. No manipulations will be made.
The photographer retains the copyright and may use the images for promotional purposes.
A minimum of 200 photos will be delivered within 4 weeks of the wedding date.
Kaikoura Elopement Co. Marriage Celebrant Services - Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to the marriage celebrant services of Kaikoura Elopement Co. included as part of the giveaway prize.
This giveaway is a collaboration with other wedding suppliers.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be bound by these
Eligibility Terms and Conditions.
The giveaway prize for Kaikoura Elopement Co. celebrant services is valid only for legal wedding ceremonies conducted in New Zealand.
The couple must be legally eligible to marry under New Zealand law and complete all required documentation (e.g., marriage licence application) before the ceremony.
The prize cannot be redeemed for vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, or other non-legally binding ceremonies.
Scope of Services
The prize includes the following services:
An initial consultation (via phone, video call, or email).
A personalised ceremony script tailored to the couple.
Officiating the ceremony on the agreed date.
Lodgement of the marriage documents with the Department of Internal Affairs.
The celebrant reserves the right to limit additional services not outlined above.
Any extra services (e.g., additional meetings, rehearsal attendance, or custom rituals) will incur additional charges.
Prize Value and Redemption
The prize has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for monetary compensation or substituted for other services.
The celebrant service prize is non-transferable and must be used by the winner as part of their wedding ceremony.
Availability and Scheduling
This giveaway is a collaboration with other wedding suppliers.
The celebrant services will only be provided on a date and time that aligns with the availability of all participating suppliers.
The winner agrees to accommodate the schedules of all suppliers involved.
The prize is subject to the celebrant's availability. If the winner is unable to agree on an available date with the celebrant, the prize may be forfeited.
Location and Travel
The prize is valid for celebrant services at Hapuku Lodge & Tree Houses, 8 Station Road, Hapuku, Kaikoura only.
Winner Responsibilities
The winner is responsible for applying and paying for their marriage licence (NZ $150.00) and ensuring all legal requirements are met before the ceremony.
The winner must provide the celebrant with all required documentation at least 10 days before the wedding date.
Changes and Cancellations
If the couple changes their wedding date, the celebrant will attempt to accommodate the new date, subject to availability. Rescheduling may incur additional charges.
If the couple cancels their wedding or chooses not to use the celebrant's services, the prize will be forfeited, and no alternative prize or compensation will be offered.
Liability
The celebrant and Kaikoura Elopement Co. are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by events beyond their control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, venue issues, or travel disruptions.
The celebrant and Kaikoura Elopement Co. will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from or related to the celebrant’s services or the giveaway prize.
Collaboration with Other Vendors
This giveaway is a collaboration with other vendors. Kaikoura Elopement Co. and celebrant are not responsible for any products or services provided by other vendors as part of the giveaway.
Each vendor operates under their own Terms and Conditions, and Kaikoura Elopement Co. is not liable for any disputes arising between the winner and other vendors.
Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Kaikoura Elopement Co. and other giveaway vendors to use images and details of the wedding for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website).
Agreement
By accepting the Kaikoura Elopement Co. celebrant services prize, the winner acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
SOUTH PACIFIC HELICOPTERS - Terms and Conditions
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Flights are subject to weather conditions. In the event of a cancellation by South Pacific Helicopters the team will work with you to reschedule your flight for another day, no refunds or monetary reimbursement will be given if the giveaway cannot be redeemed.
South Pacific Helicopters reserves the right to amend tour times or cancel trips at any time due to inclement weather, safety concerns, maintenance requirements, or any other reason.
To make a change to your flight time, you are required to contact our friendly team at least 48 hrs in advance and we will reschedule your flight/tour at no cost.
CHILDREN AND INFANTS
There is no minimum age for children or infants to travel on our tours, however children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All children and infants are given ear protection at the time of check-in.
Infants under the age of 2 years of age can sit on the adults lap and if they fit comfortably & weigh under 18 kgs. On some aircraft there is a limit of 1 infant per trip, contact the team if there are any questions.
ADDITIONAL FLIGHT TERMS
Smoking is not permitted in or around any aircraft, and only in certain locations at outside our airport terminal. No food or drink is permitted on board the aircraft unless permitted by the pilot.
There are no Dangerous Goods permitted on board the aircraft, a list of these will be shown at the time of check-in
All cameras/phones/personal equipment are brought onto the aircraft at the passengers own discretion and risk. South Pacific Helicopters and Wings Over Whales takes no responsibility for items lost or damaged during the tour.
ON THE DAY OF YOUR BOOKING
Check in time for all flights is 30 minutes prior to the tour time down at the Airport Terminal. All passengers and gear will be weighed at the time of check-in, and are required to attend the pre-flight information session and safety briefing.
Large bags and backpacks will not be permitted on the flight, and any baggage will be assessed and weighed at check-in and subject to weight and space availability. There are lockers at the Airport Terminal for personal use.
All passengers are to conduct themselves in a manner that does not endanger any person, damage any property, or obstruct the crew from performing their duties. Passengers are required to comply with any instructions given by the pilot.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
All of our pilots hold a Commercial Pilot License and are regularly subjected to stringent performance checks under New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements.
Safety is our main priority. Before all flights, passengers are fully briefed on safety procedures before entering the aircraft.
During flights our pilots may, at their own discretion, change flight paths and landing locations due to safety and weather conditions. Passengers will always be kept fully informed of any changes.
MAINTENANCE
Our fleet are subjected to regular maintenance checks as safety is paramount.
Our helicopters are maintained by Argus Aviation in Motueka and our aeroplanes are maintained by Sounds Aero Maintenance.
